Project Abstract: This project will introduce high school science teachers to environmentally conscious practices and methods useful in incorporation of these practices into their department's laboratory management plan. This includes recognition and proper disposal of hazardous waste and "green labs", including microscale techniques and use of non-toxic chemical alternatives. My client is Mr. Billy Hendricks, who works for the Department of Natural Resources and this tutorial-based instructional module will be used at science safety conferences as a tool to train teachers.
